Two more members of Konica Minolta's AccurioJet KM-1 digital UV LED inkjet sheetfed press family have received multiple FOGRA certifications, further demonstrating their stability, versatility and colour accuracy.

The new certification applies to Konica Minolta's AccurioJet KM-1e and KM-1e High Definition (HD) models. Both are further developments of the original KM-1 series, which have been described as the "Swiss army knife" of printing technology because of their wide range of applications.
Fogra - whose full name is Fogra Research Institute for Media Technologies - works under the umbrella of the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations (AiF). It awarded FOGRA51, 52 and 59 certifications for both models. The Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1e HD and KM-1e presses also received Japan Color 2011 Coated and GRACoL2013_CRPC6 Profiling awards.
Three years ago, Konica Minolta became the world's first press manufacturer and global solutions provider to receive FOGRA53 profiling certification for its AccurioJet KM-1, which continues to help customers unlock more printing opportunities. Other accolades include winning the European Digital Press Association (EDP) Best Cut-Sheet Colour B2+ Printer award.
Konica Minolta's KM-1 production presses continue to help bridge the gap as more printers realise the benefits of shifting production from offset to digital. Other benefits include the ability to print hybrids by integrating the AccurioJet KM-1 series into existing processes, automatic perfecting, larger sheet sizes and the ability to print on a variety of uncoated and coated materials, including substrates such as packaging board, lightweight papers and textured materials.
Mirko Pelzer, Offering Manager Professional Printing at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Germany, says: "Our AccurioJet KM-1 series presses are setting new standards as inkjet continues to break new ground as a true growth engine for digital printing. The announcement of yet another FOGRA certification is extremely gratifying - our KM-1 presses meet a wide range of application requirements, which is why they are known as the Swiss Army Knife of printing."
He adds, "Working closely with our customers, we're helping them harness the power of print in a sustainable way by helping them achieve new creativity in their digital transformation."
