The printing industry has undergone rapid change in recent years. The influences of social media, online advertising, rising raw materials and energy prices as well as a shortage of labor, have become critical issues. Connected Automation is a method that enhances the automation of operations by establishing a production site that links different devices from many sources and removes barriers between processes. The core system, KP-Connect, facilitates visibility, automation, and streamlining of the production site by connecting all equipment, from MIS to prepress, press, and postpress systems. This leads to the optimization of the entire business, ultimately maximizing productivity and profitability.

At drupa 2024, Komori will show for the first time a new environmentally friendly offset press and a next generation digital printing machine. See everything with your own eyes. Visitors will see a seamlessly connected smart factory utilizing Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) to link prepress and press as well as postpress that incorporates MBO folding machines and the MBO CoBo-Stack collaborative robot. Pay special attention to the linkage of equipment in the Postpress Alliance booth that embodies Komori's open innovation concept.
