ZePrA 12 adds SmartLink, Viewing Conditions, Spot Color Handling, and Productivity Enhancements

ColorLogic GmbH, a subsidiary of Hybrid Software Group, announces the release of ZePrA 12, the latest version of its popular Smart Color Server. ZePrA 12 introduces several new features and enhancements to improve color management workflows for printers, print service providers, prepress professionals, and designers.

Key new features in ZePrA 12 include expanded SmartLink support for more applications such as the CMY color space used in digital presses to boost speed and save costs. The CIE conversion engine in ZePrA 12 has been significantly upgraded. It now considers various viewing conditions, such as those prevalent in the textile printing industry, across all ZePrA tools when converting colors. Additional file formats have been added for exporting and sharing spot color information via the Spot Color Report and the Manage Spot Color Libraries features. This update enables users to effortlessly generate reports and share libraries tailored to their specific applications.

ZePrA 12 also introduces new functions for displaying and processing spot colors. This is useful for preparing files for printing on digital presses such as ink jets or when spot colors need to be modified. Several new productivity features have been added, that facilitate the import and export of configurations for sharing with other ZePrA systems designed to help users work more efficiently and streamline their color management processes.

"We are excited to release ZePrA 12 which is again a milestone in productivity enhancements and even better spot color conversion," states Thorsten Braun, CTO of ColorLogic. "ZePrA 12 builds on the success of previous versions and offers even more powerful and flexible color management capabilities."
