Industria Brasileira de Filmes (IBF) is introducing new and improved plate technologies on its booth (Stand D08, Hall 9) during drupa 2016, the world’s leading printing exhibition, in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 31 May to 10 June.

IBF, which is based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is Latin-America’s largest and the only independent plate manufacturer. With more than 50 years’ commitment to excellence serving print providers across the globe, IBF became one of the world´s renowned offset plate manufacturers with a full line of plate technologies to suit the most demanding printing needs.

At drupa, IBF is unveiling the latest generation in Eco-friendly Develop On Press (DOP) and Chemistry-Free technology for commercial, packaging, newspapers and publication applications. DIRECT T is IBF’s response to the growing demand for sustainable commercial offset printing solutions. DIRECT T eliminates the delicate plate processing steps, greatly reducing labour, material and energy costs and time to quality print.

Direct T will be featured together with the improved Ecoplate T and Ecoplate V plates, IBF’s chemistry-free solutions for thermal and violet CTP system owners in commercial and publication print, and IBF’s comprehensive choice of high performance thermal and violet digital plates, and positive and negative UV sensitive plates updated for the latest generation CtCP systems.

Luiz Nei Arias, President of IBF Graphix, said: “IBF’s research and marketing teams have been hard at work to bring a continuously updated portfolio of premium offset plates to satisfy the growing demands from print service providers for performance, robustness, cost efficiency and environmental sustainability. We are looking forward to meet our global partners and customers to help them further enhance their print production processes.”

He added: “Today we are also launching IBF’s fully revamped website today, which will enable our customers, prospects and partners to better engage with us and our partner network.”

Engineered and manufactured in Brazil, IBF’s offset plates and related products are distributed in more than 60 countries.
