Leading manufacturers and suppliers including Vivid Laminating Technologies, Hybrid Services, Agfa, and CMYUK all reported strong leads and sales at the event.

Several major manufacturers and suppliers that exhibited at The Print Show 2024 have openly praised their appearance at this year’s event, revealing that the exhibition allowed them to generate quality leads and complete equipment sales.

The Print Show 2024, the eighth edition of the UK’s only dedicated print event, took place at the NEC in Birmingham from September 17th to 19th, playing host to companies from across the industry and welcoming thousands of visitors through the doors of Hall 17.
As ever, visitors were treated to a first-class line-up of exhibitors, covering everything from advanced commercial and wide-format print solutions to innovative finishing equipment and enhanced software products.
Exhibitors have been kept busy in the weeks after the show, following up on leads collected at the event and working with customers to finalise new kit sales. Several companies have now opened up about their experiences at this year’s The Print Show, stating that the event is as valuable as ever for showcasing new solutions.
Going bigger for 2025
Vivid Laminating Technologies, one of the longest serving exhibitors at The Print Show, is among those manufacturers praising the show. Lewis Evans, commercial director at Vivid, said the company was pleased to report successful sales every day of the event.
“This is consistent with our experience from previous years at The Print Show,” Evans said. “We were also very satisfied with the volume and quality of leads at The Print Show; beyond just quantity, the quality of the leads was great with visitors showing interest in our range of products and services.”
Such was the success of another appearance at The Print Show that Vivid has already signed up to exhibit at next year’s show – an event that will see The Print Show co-located with The Sign Show, an all-new event for the UK sign-making industry.
“We're already planning to come back on a larger scale, with even more advanced systems and products to showcase,” Evans said. “Every year, we aim to bring fresh innovations and expand our ranges, ensuring that everything we develop advances on what our customer are already doing as well as making their lives easier and businesses better.”
Ideal platform for new launches
Also speaking highly of The Print Show 2024 is Hybrid Services, the exclusive distributor for Mimaki in the UK and Ireland. Andy Gregory, sales director at Hybrid, said that the event was valuable for the company.
“The Print Show was the ideal platform for Hybrid to host two huge European product launches for Mimaki: the new CJV200 printer/cutter and the TS330-3200DS 3.2m industrial dye sublimation printer,” Gregory said.
“From the orders for new Mimaki technology that our reseller partners took during the show, to the conversations we had with customers old and new, it was a valuable three days at the NEC.”
Brilliant debut for Agfa
Exhibiting for the first time this year, Agfa has reported a successful debut at The Print Show. Paul Fitch, sales manager for the UK, Ireland, and Nordics at Agfa, said the manufacturer had a “brilliant” three days, with strong interest in its solutions.
“We were able to complete several sales on our stand during the event and secured several more opportunities based on our appearance at The Print Show,” Fitch said. “In terms of both the volume and quality of visitors, we are absolutely pleased with our debut show.”
Great to connect with customers
Another equipment specialist that had a successful event is CMYUK, which was based on a large stand at the front of the hall. Commercial director Sue Hayward revealed the company was able to come away with valuable leads and sales.
“Our stand was constantly busy with visitors and existing customers,” Hayward said. “It was great to connect with so many of our existing customers who chose to attend the event.
“We were able to close multiple Canon Colorado orders and book in demonstrations for the JWEI digital cutting tables, as well as meet with a lot of key existing accounts across the three days.
“If the mix of other exhibitors remained the same, as this added to the success of the show, we would absolutely consider returning for the 2025 show.”
