Inapa Deutschland's paper products will be printed live at documenta fifteen in Kassel. In the lumbung Press project, works by participating artists are produced in front of an audience.

A small offset printing press was set up and put into operation in the documenta hall. Posters, flyers and magazines are produced here daily on two different types of picture printing paper and one natural paper. Visitors get an insight into the print production and experience the result first-hand: the works can either be taken away directly or purchased later.
"Through the printing, the paper becomes part of documenta fifteen and in the end you take home a real piece of documenta," enthuses Michaela Deckelmann, Head of Marketing at Inapa Germany, at the preview in the documenta Halle.
The lumbung Press can be used by everyone involved in documenta fifteen. There was no production plan in advance, the focus is on spontaneity. "This is a great opportunity to show: Print is alive, print is not dead," says Michael Faste, owner of the Printec Offset printing company in Kassel.
Every day, different works are printed and impressions and stories directly from documenta fifteen are also incorporated into the finished products. Dirk Teuber, Managing Director of Hubertus Wesseler GmbH, is also impressed by the project: "No one is delivering containers full of art here; instead, the exhibition is being developed live. That's impressive!"
The lumbung Press is a project of the lumbung members, lumbung artists and the artistic team of documenta fifteen. At its core, it consists of a collectively run offset print shop in the documenta Halle, its printed products and the accompanying events. It is supported by a number of companies. The artistic director is the artist Erick Beltrán, and the works are printed on papers made by Inapa Germany. The group received technical advice from the Kassel-based offset printing company Printec Offset, all the machines in the mini-print shop are from Hubertus Wesseler GmbH and the printing plates are provided by Fujifilm.
