No-charge addition increases productivity and functionality for EU customers
Xitron, the leading independent developer of RIP and workflow products for commercial, digital, flexo, and label printing applications is now including their popular Navigator workflow product with all new high-resolution RIP kits sold through European dealers. Prior to the announcement, the workflow module was separate and optional.
"It's always price versus performance," said Karen Crews, president of Xitron. "Prepress customers are demanding more productivity out of their software but their budgets don't often allow for performance options. By offering additional features and functionality without extra cost, we can give customers an economical alternative to over-priced RIP and workflow packages."
Driving CTP devices from Screen, Agfa, Fuji, Heidelberg, ECRM, Presstek, Creo, Kodak, and others, over 30,000 Navigator RIP kits have been sold worldwide. The workflow module is designed to automate the throughput process while allowing accessibility to the RIP from any workstation on the network. Since the module also includes Raster PDF output, the workflow helps commercial shops transition to digital output without introducing a separate RIP and workflow for high-speed digital devices.
"Navigator workflow has been very successful in the US market for some time," added Crews. "Offering this package to our European dealers at no extra cost will give them an opportunity to introduce the concept of prepress independence® to their customer base, regardless of the output device being used."
