UV specialist IST METZ has been a member of the PrintCity Alliance since 1 January 2018. The machine systems provider, based in Nürtingen, Germany, has already participated in the first few events of the year, including the 5th Packaging Inspiration Forum in Hamburg and Packaging Innovations in Warsaw and Zürich.
UV competence strengthens the Network
True to company slogan “energy in light”, IST METZ invests its energy in a range of systems all centred on special light sources. For over 40 years, IST METZ has been manufacturing systems for curing print products and coatings with UV light, though the organisation has long stood for more than just its traditional UV lamp technology. “By joining the PrintCity Alliance, we are looking forward to both strengthening and benefiting from its network and event partnership,” says Jens Langer, Sales Director at IST METZ. “What impressed us most about the PrintCity Alliance was the diverse possibilities it offers for keeping ourselves and our customers up-to-date on the market and current trends in the graphic arts industry,” Langer says.
IST METZ closes a gap in the portfolio of members
IST METZ has also contributed its expertise to the latest joint projects. In the interplay between substrates, inks, foils, coatings and pigments, the quality of the curing process has a critical impact on a number of things, including good downstream finishing. In joining the Alliance, IST METZ now lastingly closes a gap in the portfolio of members.
