Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe GmbH, with its sites in Bielefeld and Flensburg, is the first company in the paper industry to be awarded the "Sicher mit System" seal of approval by the German Employers' Liability Insurance Association for Raw Materials and the Chemical Industry (BG RCI). At the same time, the "AGM" occupational health and safety management system was certified according to DIN ISO 45001:2018.
The "AGM" occupational health and safety management system to DIN ISO 45001 replaces the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 standard, which was withdrawn in 2018. The new standard now also requires the assessment of risks and opportunities, a proactive prevention approach and thus increases the demands on top management and executives. For those companies that have taken up the assessment for the "Sicher mit System" quality seal with the additional DIN ISO 45001 module, the fulfilment of legal requirements and the determination of necessary competence criteria for employees and their participation play an important role.

The new DIN ISO 45001 certification is a further component of the voluntary compliance system at Mitsubishi HiTec Paper. At the same time, the monitoring audits of the integrated management systems DIN EN ISO 9001 (quality management), DIN EN ISO 14001 (environmental management) and DIN EN ISO 50001 (energy management) were successfully carried out for both locations. The regular certifications by the independent auditors of TÜV Nord underline the high standards that Mitsubishi HiTec Paper sets itself in order to continue to be a reliable partner for its customers in the long term.
