Koenig & Bauer in new outfit at WPE 2017

At the IFRA World Publishing Expo in Berlin in mid-October, just a few days after the company's 200th anniversary celebrations, Koenig & Bauer made its first major public appearance in its newly launched corporate design and with the new slogan “we’re on it”. The diverse presentations and discussions at the exhibition booth of the group business units responsible for the newspaper market – KBA-Digital & Web Solutions and PrintHouseService (PHS) – drew attention to the generally reduced number of new press projects, and above all to service-related topics.

Print Group, the leading digital book printer in Poland, has installed a Screen Truepress Jet520HD high-speed roll-fed inkjet press with Screen’s new SC inks at its Booksfactory site in Szczecin. The addition will enhance turnaround times for full colour high-definition book printing, as well as allowing the business to take on larger volumes as customer demand grows. Print Group has long been committed to digital book production, and previously installed the first Screen Truepress Jet 520EX Mono in Europe for black and white production in 2013. Print Group is also the first company to invest in the 520HD with SC ink. .

Just 4 weeks after installation, Graphic Visual Solutions of Greensboro, NC, has already folded over one million sheets on their Stahlfolder TH 82 from Heidelberg. Folding a wide-range of commercial printing projects including 16-page signatures, the new Stahlfolder replaces an older, competitive model.
