Konica Minolta, Inc. and FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp. have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding that marks the beginning of a comprehensive exploration to form a strategic alliance.

"The goal of this partnership is to combine the strengths of both companies and further strengthen their market position in office and production printing. Additional objectives of the potential alliance are to improve supply security, support environmentally friendly business practices, co-operate in purchasing and co-operate in the developent and production of toners. The joint production of MFPs and printing machines is excluded from the envisaged co-operation and no direct impact on the business in Germany is expected. All areas of co-operation would only affect global functions," said Joerg Hartmann, President Konica Minolta Business Solutions Germany and Austria.
"We see this announcement as a strategic opportunity to offer you, our customers, even more powerful and innovative solutions and are convinced that this potential collaboration will have a decisive impact on the future of our industry and can lead to sustainable growth," explains Joerg Hartmann.
