Print technology giant Konica Minolta has announced that it will be running live demonstrations of its new AccurioShine 3600 digital embellishment press on its stand at The Print Show 2022.

Launched in June, the AccurioShine 3600 is the first Konica Minolta-branded MGI product built on the success of the MGI JETvarnish 3D One and is likely to be an incredibly popular attraction in Hall 17 of the NEC in September.
The press has been designed to offer special effects for the commercial printing, finishing and packaging industries, utilising the Jetvarnish technology including the AIS SmartScanner registration system.
“Our centre piece will be the AccurioShine 3600 and we will take the opportunity to highlight our extensive range of print embellishment and specialist finishing products that span SRA3, B2, B1 and web as well as our B2 cut-sheet Inkjet and workflow solutions,” said Jon Hiscock, head of production and industrial print at Konica Minolta Business Solutions UK.
“The entry-level device enables users to add value to the print they produce and respond to market demand, because in order to survive and grow their customer base they need to expand their reach and products offered.
“Many are finding that it’s not enough to just offer fast turnaround, quality and low pricing. The AccurioShine 3600 is great for adding 2D and 3D gloss effects and Digital Hot Foiling tactile finishes.
“To take it another step forward, it also supports variable data printing, to add more impact to printed products, personalised packaging and labels.”
Also on the Konica Minolta stand will be the AccurioPress C4080, feeding print to the AccurioShine 3600. The 81ppm press is one of Konica Minolta’s most popular models cut-sheet colour production and despite its small footprint, it delivers superior media performance right out of the box.
“The possibilities for expanding the device capabilities are endless as customers can fit our very advanced finishing options which are shared across the cut-sheet range,” Hiscock said.
Important event
Looking at Konica Minolta’s wider aims for The Print Show 2022, Hiscock said that the manufacturer has a lot to talk about and the team is looking forward to meeting its customers again at what he describes as an “important event” for the business and the industry as a whole.
“The market is changing at pace and demands of the end user to look at sustainable print, ways of increasing the impact of print and packaging through embellishment are increasing exponentially and of course our customers still need to do more with less and drive production efficiencies through the use of Industry 4.0 innovations,” Hiscock said. “So, this year at the show, we have decided to focus on these key topics and product areas.
“Our branding and messaging have changed too with the ‘Igniting Print Possibilities’, so the message is ‘See the potential’. All of our messaging is about exploring the opportunities and focusing on the needs of professional providers rather than talking specifications.
“Our main aim is to re-engage with our customers after the pandemic and use the opportunity to help our customers realise their potential through exploring the topics mentioned.
“As a manufacturer and a market leader in the professional print industry we have a lot offer our customers regardless of the segment of the industry they operate within. We have many unique technologies on our cut-sheet equipment, such as Intelligent Care IQ-501 system, embellishment technologies and workflow tools that help our customers create, get great results, diversify into new markets, improve productivity and drive profitability.
“So yes, we’re looking forward on engaging with our customers to help them expand their businesses and increase their profitability.”
Konica Minolta will be based on Stand B17 at The Print Show 2022. The event will take place from September 20th to 22nd at the NEC in Birmingham.
