The transactional printing and mailing specialist BIT Brand faced a difficult challenge: its customers not only want their mailings to be more colourful and glossy than ever, they also want them turned around faster and faster. "Our greatest strength is our ability to act quickly and flexibly, using our in-house expertise and resources. We are particularly strong at making the different printing stages interact, allowing us to produce top quality mailings at high speed", explains Wolfgang Brand. "The 520HD+ fits perfectly into this system, connecting seamlessly to our Hunkeler machines, which take care of punching or perforating and winding and unwinding the paper rolls. An inline cutting machine, which is directly linked to the Screen printer, allows single sheet printing from the roll".
BIT Brand’s purchase of the 520HD+ underlines the rapid growth of Screen’s inkjet technology in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). "In these markets, our print on demand (POD) business has quadrupled in the last three years and demand for the 520HD+ and other digital inkjet technology is still growing," said Patrick Jud, Area Director Screen Europe for the DACH countries.
