First HP Indigo 100K: significant addition to the machine park

Onlineprinters continues to invest in state-of-the-art digital printing technology
The new HP Indigo 100K was scheduled to be unveiled to a global audience at Drupa in mid-June. The latest addition to the HP Indigo series was brought to market together with Onlineprinters.

What hardly anyone knew is that the HP Indigo 100 K had already been in digital printing at Onlineprinters' German production site in Neustadt an der Aisch since August 2019. There, HP technicians worked with Onlineprinters' digital printing experts to put the new system through its paces and bring it to market.
Investment in digital printing
At the end of the trial period, Onlineprinters purchased the HP Indigo 100K. "This technology partnership gave us the opportunity to test the system intensively. We were convinced not only by the high speed with consistent quality, but also by the ease of operation and maintenance," said Jürgen Winkler, Director Operations at Onlineprinters.
The online print shop, which supplies customers in Germany with printed matter under the brand diedruckerei.de, is continuously expanding its digital printing operations and is thus adapting to the changing ordering behavior of its customers, who have been ordering smaller runs but more frequently for several years now. "Nobody puts a year's supply of brochures in stock anymore, if only for reasons of topicality," Jürgen Winkler continues. Onlineprinters estimates that by 2021 around half of all orders will be produced using digital printing.
Customer target group with high quality demands
One of the company's main target groups are graphic designers and creative agencies, who are particularly sensitive to quality. "Our credo has always been that we do not compromise on quality. To achieve this, we have relied on the technology leader HP and its HP Indigo technology and a homogeneous machine park, including offset printing, right from the start," Jürgen Winkler continues. In addition to the PSO certifications for offset printing and in-house finishing, digital printing by Onlineprinters is certified according to PSD (Process Standard Digital Printing).
"We have a long-standing successful partnership with Onlineprinters. With the HP Indigo 100K, we also started to test and optimise the machine in a real production environment together with the Onlineprinters team even before the actual product launch. With success," explains Markus Weiss, Regional Business Manager HP Indigo and Inkjet, HP Deutschland GmbH, and adds: "The HP Indigo 100K convinced Onlineprinters within a very short time. It prints a wide variety of different substrates in line, without interrupting production. This is a key requirement when it comes to efficiently processing a wide variety of jobs with maximum flexibility.
