- Award ceremony of the Gregor Calendar Award 2020 in Stuttgart
- Pin-sharp photos on fine and recycled papers from Koehler
- Excellent calendars can be admired in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe

"Twelve cows, in captivating portrait photography, conjure up a happy smile on the face of each observer." This was the reason given by the jury at the Gregor Photo Calendar award ceremony
Awards 2020 in Stuttgart about the bronze award for the Koehler Paper Group's Q-Calendar.
For the 70th anniversary of the award, around 650 calendars were submitted from Germany, other European countries, Japan and Israel. The jury invited by the Graphischer Klub Stuttgart, the Ministry of Economics, Labour and Housing of Baden-Württemberg and the Verband Druck und Medien in Baden-Württemberg made their decision. This year 48 calendars were nominated in four categories (advertising, photo, self-publishing, Japan). Of these, 27 calendars received the coveted bronze, silver and gold awards. The best calendar of the entire competition received the highest award, the GREGOR 2020, and the number of prizes was reduced overall, which makes the individual award all the more valuable.
Contemporary, how you see and feel the modern Black Forest
Koehler's Q-Calendar was created in cooperation with the Black Forest photographer Sebastian Wehrle and the Herbstritt print shop in Sexau and puts cows in a scene that you wouldn't otherwise see. "I draw my inspiration from childhood experiences in the Simonswäldertal. I met the cows everywhere in the Black Forest, and the cattle drive from the mountain pastures was also a special day in my childhood," explains Sebastian Wehrle.
The calendar is not only something for the eye, but also a haptic highlight that reflects the current trend towards uncoated uncoated and recycled papers. The selected ultra-fine and recycled papers impress with pin-sharp printing results. The different surface structures are particularly fascinating. Each calendar sheet feels different - sometimes rough, sometimes soft, sometimes smooth. The Q calendar features ivory board from the fine paper range and the recycled paper creative print in various colours and designs.
The exhibitions of the competition
Visitors can admire the prize-winning calendars at several exhibitions. The submitted calendars were on display at the Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart until 8 February 2020. After that, they will be on display from 19 February to 8 March 2020 at the Regional Council on Rondellplatz in Karlsruhe.
