Central Identity & Access Management
Increased security standards throughout
Improved User Experience

vjoon, one of the world's leading providers of digital content management solutions, today announced the release of vjoon K4 Version 13. The new release focuses on the increased security requirements when used in large enterprise networks and cloud installations. With this release, K4 supports the OpenID Connect protocol, which can be used to integrate authentication services such as Amazon Cognito, Okta, or Azure AD.
vjoon K4 version 13 is available now and can be downloaded from the respective integration partners.
Central Identity & Access Management
Companies face the challenge of providing access to IT resources in the cloud, on-premise or in hybrid environments to a multitude of users, including home office employees and partners from all over the world. In modern IT infrastructures, information on users and authorisations is therefore managed centrally via Identity & Access Management (IAM).
Among other things, IAM solutions make it possible to conveniently integrate single sign-on requirements into a K4 environment. In addition, these services can also be used to change user accesses at short notice, for example during on- and off-boarding, and to set up security policies such as multi-factor authentication. By integrating K4 with OpenID Connect (OIDC), organisations can deploy their customised IAM solution and meet internal and external compliance guidelines.
Increased security standards throughout
To make the most of these increased security standards, individual K4 components have also been adapted. Thus, not only browser-based clients are supported, but also the K4 clients in Adobe InDesign and InCopy as well as K4 KickOff.
But also the vjoon WordPress Adapter has been extended by Application Passwords to support the above mentioned services. In this way, the increased security requirements are also met for the operation of WordPress websites. In addition, the vjoon WordPress module now supports WordPress multisite implementations.
Improved User Experience
Adobe 2022 support, which was already included in the last release, has now been extended once again in the Scalable UI area. In addition, the Web Editor now fully supports the use of so-called Composed Characters (technically called 4-byte characters) in texts. In addition, images used in content stories for content-first articles are marked accordingly so that you can search for them specifically with K4 queries.
