axaio software, developer of solutions for PDF output, print and editorial workflows for the publishing and print market and for creating tagged, accessible PDF documents, today released update 1.3.048 of its MadeForLayers layer plug-in.

MadeForLayers is an extension for Adobe InDesign & Illustrator that simplifies the editing of documents that contain a large number of layout layers. The advantage of MadeForLayers is that you can create multiple layer views in the document - a combination of different but related layers of a document. In certain documents, however, it recently happened that MadeForLayers displayed and saved incorrect layer views. With release 1.3.048, axaio software has integrated a way to fix this problem to provide its customers with the reliable results they are used to.
Why MadeForLayers layer views?
MadeForLayers layer views support the user when working with complex layouts that include multiple languages, regional variations or technical or design views: With just one click you can call up a specific layer view that contains only the corresponding layers. In this way, the user avoids having to select the individual layers again and again, and the associated errors and time expenditure.
Each defined layer view can be applied to new or existing documents. A specific layer view containing layer names and metadata definitions can be set as the default document view to determine which layer is visible when the document is opened. New layer views can also be created from the currently visible layers. Using these options in MadeForLayers, a standardized document structure can be promoted.
MadeForLayers
MadeForLayers is also available as an integrated part of MadeToPrint to export different versions of a publication simultaneously and fully automated. Using axaio MadeToPrint's sophisticated output features, you can quickly create either a PDF master file with all different layer views or a PDF file for each layer view.
