• A third office of the Shared Service Center (SSC) of Swiss company Clariant will be established in Łodź, Poland
  • The Center expects to employ 300 people – specialists from the field of finance, purchasing processes and logistics

Clariant, a Swiss-based world leader in specialty chemicals, announced its decision to establish in Łódź an additional office for its shared service center. It will be located in the Orange Plaza Financial Center building situated in the city center at the crossing of Piotrkowska and Piłsudzkiego streets. It is the third localization of Clariant’s shared service center in Poland, besides the Red Tower office building in Łodź and office space at the company’s country headquarters in Konstantynów Łódzki.

„This year Clariant celebrates its 25th anniversary in Poland. We are delighted to annouce the next milestone in the development of our company – the opening of a new office in Łodź. Two years ago we opened a state-of-art production facility in Konstatynów Łódzki. Last year Łódź was as the location for the European hub for Clariant’s shared service center. It was a credit to the socio-economic potential of the region, with which we are bound from the very beginning of our activity in Poland.” – said Paweł Pańczyk, Country Head Poland, Clariant Plastics & Coatings (Polska) Spółka z o.o.

The Clariant SSC in Poland is part of Clariant’s Global Business Service (GBS) organization which operates transactional processes internally. The centers in Łódź and Konstantynów Łódzki are fully responsible for all (end-to-end) processes in the areas of Source to Pay (from purchasing process up to clearing for invoices), Order to Cash (from product order through delivery up to debt collection, as well as management of logistic and transport and handling export-import transactions) and Data to Insight (financial analysis). The Polish office serves Clariant’s clients and business partners from Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. It is one of only two such Clariant’s centers currently in the world.
Clariant plans to expand the operation this year, by adding new service lines, including Order Management, i.e. receiving and processing orders from Clariant customers, as well as gaining further competences in handling procurement and logistics processes, which will result in increased employment at the Shared Service Center. The employment will increase by further 150 employees, reaching around 300 people.

„We welcome both recent graduates as well as experienced specialists who speak fluently in one of the following languages: English, German, Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese or Turkish. We look for people who will be responsible for servicing Clariant’s departments worldwide in the area of accounting and logistics as well as providing complex support in the field of international purchasing processes. We provide our employees with the opportunity to work in an international environment, to enhance professional qualifications and gain knowledge from working with Latin America countries, Turkey, Switzerland and Germany. Additionally, all employees are offered a social package that provides, among other, private medical care and a Multisport card. Clariant enables its employees to participate in interesting projects conducted by international teams.” – said Tomasz Leśniewski, Head of Shared Service Center Poland, Clariant Plastics & Coatings (Polska) Spółka z o.o.

Clariant has been present in Poland for 25 years. In recent years, the company significantly increased its engagement in Poland. In 2015, Łódź was chosen as the European hub for Clariant’s Shared Service Center within the newly formed Global Business Service (GBS) organization. A year before, the company opened a state-of-art production facility in Konstatynów Łódzki that produces a wide range of colours concentrates (Masterbatches) that are an essential component in manufacturing plastic materials. Furthermore, Clariant had a production facility in Gdańsk (Functional Minerals) and sales offices in Warsaw (Industrial and Consumer Specialities).
